Nancy Barber is a native Tucsonan who has been working with babies and families all of her adult life. She has been a preschool teacher, a labor coach, and an assistant midwife. She is a certified birth Doula by the National Association of Postpartum Care Services, a member of Tucson's Desert Doula Birth & Postpartum Services, a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor by Cochise College, and a Certified Infant Massage Instructor by The International Association of Infant Massage. She also owned and operated a family-centered children's store in Tucson for 20 years.
Nancy is a Grandmother who has raised two children and is aunt to nine nieces and a nephew in a large, extended family. She has dedicated her life to helping parents and children enjoy the fullness of family life - a joy she shares with her best friend, Ron, to whom she has been married for over 36 years.
